What is Loop by SYMBYX?

We at SYMBYX understand how important it is to complement existing routines and how difficult it can be to keep track of all the bits and pieces/ your individual needs. Loop by SYMBYX is designed to support your daily routines. With the app, you can  set reminders for your wellness activities, complementary therapies such as light therapy and medications and reflect on your day with a quick check-in. Your answers from these check-ins will be summarised into a monthly report, giving you a clearer picture of your wellness trends. You can also choose to connect Apple Health data to include metrics such as steps and mobility in your monthly reports.
The app is designed to help you stay organised and feel more in control.   

Do I need a SYMBYX device to use the app? 

Not at all. While the app has an option to log SYMBYX devices for your own reference and daily routine, you don’t need a device to use the app. Loop by SYMBYX is designed to be your go-to space for your overall daily health and wellness tracking (with or without a SYMBYX device). 

Is the app available for Androids? 

If you’re an Android user, we’re working on it! Subscribe to our newsletter through the SYMBYX website to be the first to know when the Android version is released. Right now, Loop by SYMBYX is available for iOS devices (Apple devices) through the App Store. 

How do I download the app?

Open the Apple App store on your iPhone or iPad and search for ‘Loop by SYMBYX.’ Tap the download icon (the cloud or ‘Get’ button), then wait for the app to install. Once it appears on your home screen, tap the Loop by SYMBYX icon to open it and follow the prompts to get started.
Please note: For the best experience, please make sure your Apple device is up to date with the latest software.

Is the Loop app free to use? 

Yes. Loop by SYMBYX is completely free to download and use. 

How do I create an account?

When you open the app, you’ll be guided step by step:

  • Pop in your email and choose a secure password. 
  • Verify your email (just a quick check to make sure it’s really you). 

  • Add some basic information 

And you’re all set! From there, you can personalise the app to suit your goals.  

What can I use the app for?

Loop by SYMBYX is flexible to suit your routines, helping you keep your health and wellness reminders organised in one place. You can use it to:

  • Perform daily check-ins – take a quick moment to reflect on how you’re feeling each day.
  • Set reminders for your routines – create prompts for daily habits, supplements, complementary therapies or any medications you don’t want to forget.
  • Reflect on your patterns – review your past check-ins in the Reports tab to notice trends and reflect on your wellness journey over time. You’ll also receive a monthly summary report with an overview of your check-ins, routine consistency, and optional Apple Health information if you choose to connect. 

Your personal information is private and is never used to provide individual medical advice or treatment recommendations. 

Features

Can I set reminders?

Yes. Reminders are a great way to stay consistent without having to think about it. You can set them for the use of your SYMBYX devices, therapies, supplements, or other activities in your day.
In your app, head to the Routines tab in the bottom menu, tap Add New Reminder (+), then choose the type of reminder you’d like. Set how often and at what time you would like to be reminded, and then tap Save. Your new routine will appear in your list, ready to help keep you on track. 

How can I edit the options under Reminder Type?

You can update your reminders anytime. Just go to Profile > Your Profile Settings > Update Your Routine. From there, you can add, remove or edit medications and complementary therapies. Be sure to save your changes so everything reflects your preferences.

How do I mark a reminder as complete?

Open the Routines tab and go to Today. Tap on the reminder you’ve finished, then mark it as complete. Each completed reminder contributes to the progress of your well-being and is reflected in your monthly reports.

My reminders aren’t showing up. How do I fix this?

If you’re not seeing reminders, try these quick steps:

1. Check if Notifications are enabled on the app

  • Open the app → Profile → Your Profile Settings
  • Make sure Notifications are turned on. 

2. Check Your Device Settings 

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad → Notifications → Loop by SYMBYX.

  • Turn Allow Notifications ON and enable Lock Screen, Banners, and Sounds 

3. Check Focus/Do Not Disturb  

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad → Focus 

  • Make sure Loop by SYMBYX is allowed in your active Focus modes. 

4. Other quick checks 

  • Confirm your date & time are correct (Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically). 

  • Make sure Low Power Mode is off. 

  • Restart your phone and try again.

What are Check-ins?

Check-ins are short reflections you can complete in the app, like a quick diary entry. You’ll answer as many questions as you want in the categories you choose, by selecting from a simple scale. It only takes a moment and helps you capture how you’re feeling that day. Over time, these entries create a personal record that can make it easier to notice routines and patterns in your daily life. 

How can I perform a Check-in? 

Open the Check-ins tab and ensure today’s date is selected. If you wish, you can also choose a previous date to log a past check-in. Pick the category you want, answer as many questions as you find helpful (there’s no need to complete them all), and use the + / – icons to expand or collapse sections. When you’re finished, tap Save to record your answers. Check-ins are designed to support your own self-reflection and wellness tracking. 

How can I check a past Check-in? 

Head to the Reports tab. You can review any day’s activity or select a time period to view a graph of your trends over that time span. If you skipped a day, it will be marked with an X, so you can spot gaps at a glance. This feature is designed to support your personal reflection. The report is generated based solely on the data you enter and are not clinical results. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or seen in this app. 

How do I update the Daily Check-ins categories that appear on my Home Page?

Go to Profile Your Profile Settings Update Your Check-ins. From there, you can choose which categories you’d like to display or adjust the ones already displayed, so your Home Page reflects what matters most to you.

What are Monthly Reports?

At the beginning of each month, you’ll receive a summary report for the previous month by email. It highlights your activity in the app for the previous month- such as completed reminders and check-ins - so you can step back, reflect, and notice patterns over time. 

These reports are for your personal use only and are not medical records or medical advice. 

How are monthly reports useful?

Monthly reports bring together your check-ins and adherence to your reminders into a simple, visual summary. They make it easy to reflect on your routines, notice patterns, and see how consistent you’ve been over time. The reports are designed to give you clarity and help you keep everything organised in one placeIf you choose to connect Apple Health, selected activity data will also be included in your monthly report. 

What information is shown under SYMBYX Devices?

In this section you’ll see a list of the SYMBYX devices you selected. When you click on a device symbol, you will be able to view a brief reference guide about the device. This guide is provided for your general information only. For safe and correct operation, always follow the official Instruction Manual that is supplied with your SYMBYX device. 

If you have questions about your SYMBYX device, you can get in touch anytime. 
Reach us through the Contact Us page in your app or email us directly at info@symbyxbiome.com. The app does not control, guide, or adjust your device. 

Can the app connect to my SYMBYX device?

No. The app doesn’t connect directly to your device. You can add the devices you useThis way you can stay organised and stay in control. Loop by SYMBYX is simply a way to set reminders and assist in developing a routine the app is not a control or monitoring feature. 

How do I add or remove another SYMBYX device on the app?

Head to your Profile Page and tap Manage Your Devices. You’ll see a list of SYMBYX devices where you can add a new one or remove an existing one. Once you’ve made your choice, tap Continue, and your preferences will be updated.
To remove a device from the app, click on the one you have selected previously. Once you have unselected the device, be sure to click continue to save your preferences. 

Can I sync with Apple Health?

Yes. Loop by SYMBYX can sync with Apple Health so your activity data flows into your monthly reports.

How do I connect to Apple Health?

Go to your Profile Settings and choose the option to connect with Apple Health. If enabled, your activity data such as Steps, Active Energy, Sleep, and more will automatically sync and appear in the monthly reports sent to your email.  Connecting to Apple Health is completely optional. 

How can I sync with Apple Health?

You can connect Apple Health in two ways: 
From the app: 

  1. Open your Profile Settings in Loop by SYMBYX. 

  1. Select Connect with Apple Health. 

  1. Follow the prompts to give the app permission to share data. 

From your iPhone Settings: 

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone. 

  1. Scroll down and tap Health. 

  1. Choose Data Access & Devices. 

  1. Select Loop by SYMBYX. 

  1. Toggle on the categories you’d like to share. 

Once connected, your Apple Health data will automatically sync into your monthly reports. This is completely optional. 

Will new features be added?

Absolutely. We’re always improving based on your feedback. Keeping your app updated ensures you’ll get access to the latest features as they’re released.  

How can I suggest a new feature?

We’d love to hear your ideas. You can share suggestions anytime through the Contact Us page in the app. 

How do I know if I have the most up-to-date version of the app?

There are a couple of ways to check: 

  1. In the App Store: Open the App Store, tap your profile icon, and scroll down to see your apps. If Loop by SYMBYX appears under Available Updates, tap Update. If you don’t see it listed, you already have the latest version. 

  1. In the app: We will occasionally prompt you with a pop-up inside the app if a new version is available. 

  1. Automatic updates: To make things easier, you can switch on automatic updates in your App Store settings, so you always have the most current version without needing to check. 

Keeping your app updated means you’ll always have access to the latest features, improvements, and security updates. 

Data and Privacy 

Is my data safe?

Yes, your privacy is a top priority. All data is encrypted and stored securely. We follow strict privacy and security standards to protect your information. Data is managed in line with our Privacy Policy, and you remain in control at all times. 

Who has access to my data?

Your personal information is private and is never used to provide individual medical advice or treatment recommendations. We protect your data with encryption and strict security measures. We do use anonymized and aggregated data to improve the app. This helps us understand general trends, enhance features, and inform our research. We only use this collective, non-personal data to make the app better for everyone.

Your privacy comes first. Data is managed under our Privacy Policy, and you can request a copy of your information anytime via Profile Manage Your Data Export My Data. 

Can I delete my data?

Yes, you’re always in control. To delete your data, go to the Profile tab in the app and select Manage Your Data. Tap Delete My Data, then review the pop-up message explaining the data deletion process. Once you confirm, your request will be processed within 30 days.

Should I set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Yes. We recommend enabling 2FA for extra peace of mind. With 2FA turned on, you’ll enter your password as usual, then confirm a unique code sent to your email each time you log in. This extra step helps keep your account secure.
You can enable (or disable) it anytime by going to Profile Set Up 2FA. 

I forgot my password, how do I reset it?

No problem. On the login screen, tap “Forgot Password?” and enter the email address you used to sign up. We’ll send you a 4-digit code to that email. Enter the code in the app, and you’ll be taken to a page where you can set a new password. Once it’s updated, just log back in with your new details.
If you haven't received the reset email, you can request another code to yourself after five minutes. Please also check your junk mail before trying again. If the issue persists, contact us at info@symbyxbiome.com. 

Can multiple family members use the app on the same account?

We recommend one account per person so that your records, reminders, and reports stay personalised to you.
