Clinical trial testing the SYMBYX red light therapy helmet for Parkinson's

The San Director of Research, Neurologist, Dr Geoffrey Herkes (MBBS, PhD, FRACP) led a team of scientific researchers on a clinical trial testing the efficacy of the SYMBYX Neuro (red light therapy and infrared helmet) for Parkinson's symptoms in Sydney in 2022/23.

In this video, Dr Herkes and co-lead research investigator, Dr Ann Liebert (PhD), explain the trial and discuss how light therapy can work as a complementary treatment in managing Parkinson's symptoms. Light therapy for Parkinson's is being shown to improve sleep, motor coordination, digestion, sense of smell, energy, mood and/or tremor.
